The things we are asked most, about visiting, buying, shipping, consigning and auctions. If yours is not here, call us on 908 · 655 · 7577 or write to ce@hiddenroadsproject.com.
We are by appointment only. There is no walk-in showroom. Call or email, tell us which car you want to see, and we will set a time when the car is out, warmed up and ready for you. Appointments are available seven days a week.
In High Bridge, Hunterdon County, New Jersey 08829, about an hour west of New York City. We give the exact address when we confirm an appointment.
Yes. Most of our cars go to buyers outside New Jersey. We arrange enclosed transport nationwide and hand the car over to the carrier ourselves, with photographs at pickup.
Yes. We welcome a pre-purchase inspection by a shop of your choosing, at your expense, by appointment. Every car already comes with our own dossier: the complete walkaround, engine and undercarriage photographs, paint-depth readings, tyre tread and date codes, and every document we can put our hands on.
Where one exists it is in the car’s Documentation section, alongside service records and anything else we have on the car. For older cars with no electronic history we show what the paperwork supports and say so when it is thin.
Every car is priced on what it is and what the market is doing. We are happy to hear a serious offer; there is a Make an Offer button on each car’s page, and it goes straight to us.
Yes, through our financing partner. You can apply online in a few minutes from the Financing link in the menu, before or after you have chosen a car.
Yes. Tell us about the car when you enquire and we will give you a number for it alongside the price of the car you want.
Yes. A deposit holds a car for an agreed period while transport or financing is arranged. The terms are set out in writing before anything is paid.
Consignment terms are agreed per engagement, in writing, before the car arrives. There is no published percentage, because the right arrangement depends on the car, how it should be sold and what it needs before it goes to market.
Often, yes. Send the car over through the Sell page and we will come back with either a clean offer to buy it outright or a consignment plan with a target number. Usually within one business day.
Both. Some cars do best in our own collection, by appointment, with the full dossier and film. Others do best at auction, and we represent the seller there: photography, write-up, listing and the questions that come in. We advise which road suits the car.
It depends on the car and the market. Preparing the dossier, photography and film takes a couple of weeks; the sale itself can be days or months. We talk about a realistic window before we take the car on.
What a car sold for is between us and the people in the deal. The Archive keeps every car we have placed as a record of the kind of car we handle, not as a price list.
Yes. That is The Hunt. Tell us the year, specification and colour you are after and we go looking, through our own network as well as the open market. There is no charge to start a search.
